Commitment to climate responsibility
As part of our long-term ESG strategy, we take a comprehensive approach to measuring, evaluating, and reducing our carbon footprint—both at the organizational and product levels. This ensures that climate responsibility is embedded in all areas of our business.
Carbon footprint
We have completed calculations of the organizational carbon footprint (CCF) for our production site for the years 2023 and 2024. The results provide a transparent overview of all relevant greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) along our operational value chain. The CCF report for 2024 has also been independently verified by an accredited body, confirming the reliability of all data. The calculations were performed in accordance with ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol.
Key CCF figures:
- Greenhouse gas emissions (categories 1 and 2) per FU: 8.21 kg CO₂e / unit
- CO₂ footprint (categories 1 and 2): 5,377,944.50 kg CO₂e
- Total GHG emissions for categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: 50,201,846.24 kg CO₂e
At the same time, we calculated the product carbon footprint (PCF) of our aluminum wheels. This report was verified by the EPD Hub. For 2024, the PCF is 10.32 kg CO₂e per 1 kg of finished wheel weight (cradle-to-gate). The majority of these emissions are attributable to the extraction and processing of raw materials, in particular aluminum.
In order to reduce the PCF in a sustainable manner, we have already implemented several measures that will have a significant impact in the coming years:
- Complete switch to 100% certified renewable electricity
- Significant reduction in transport emissions (category 4)
- Consistent transition to low-carbon aluminum suppliers
These steps are making a decisive contribution to further reducing the environmental footprint of our products and meeting the climate targets of our industry, our customers, and the European Green Deal in the long term.
ESG integration
Sustainability is firmly anchored in all areas of our company and is guided by a clearly defined ESG framework. This combines environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and transparent, value-oriented corporate governance into a holistic approach.
Environmental
We are continuously reducing our environmental impact by increasing energy efficiency, expanding renewable energies, minimizing waste, and promoting circular resource use. Our measures actively support the climate goals of the European Green Deal and contribute to a more sustainable value chain.
Social
We create a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment. Investments in training, health and safety, and support for regional initiatives strengthen our employees and the community. Diversity and equal opportunity are central components of our corporate culture.
Governance
Our governance structure is based on integrity, transparency, and long-term responsibility. We work with suppliers who share our values and ensure that sustainability is taken into account in all business decisions. Through clear standards and regular reviews, we ensure responsible action along the entire value chain.
We continuously measure our progress, set clear goals, and report on them transparently – so that ESG remains not just a claim, but an integral part of our daily work.
